ABOUT ME
I majored in biochemistry and molecular biology at Dickinson College and aspire to pursue either a Ph.D. in synthetic biology/metabolic engineering with a focus on sustainable materials synthesis or a MD in primary care.
I have over four years of collective laboratory experience (two as a biochemistry research assistant; two as a water chemistry lab technician) along with experience and training in outdoor/environmental education and science communication.
When not in the lab, you can find me reading, hiking, playing squash, or (sometimes) woodworking.
EDUCATION
INTERESTS
Synthetic Biology
As we approach a post-genomics era, it is possible to "design" cells to behave a certein way/make or not make a certain molecule or compound. Synthetic biology offers the tools to "reprogram" life.
